AMMA AWARD NEW AGE ARTIST OF THE YEAR, RICQY ULTRA A.K.A MAHAKURCI MAWADACI WAS HOSTED LIVE ON AIR BY WAZOBIA FM'S RESPECTED O.A.P SIMY. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THE RAP ARTIST HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING INTERVIEWED FOR THE FIRST TIME.

IT WAS AN INTERACTIVE SESSION WHICH THRILLED SO MANY LISTENERS. THERE WERE A LOT OF CALLERS ON PHONE, THE MESSAGES KEPT COMING EVEN AFTER THE 45 MINUTES PROGRAM.

SIMYTOOK THE TIME TO ASK HIM WHY IS IT THAT THEIR CONTEMPORARIES FROM OTHER STATES ARE BEEN PREFERRED TO FOR SHOW PERFORMANCES IN THE STATE RATHER THAN THE HOME-BASED ARTISTS. RICQY ULTRA WASTED NO TIME IN REPLYING BY STATING CLEARLY THAT INADEQUATE SHOWS HAVE ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE STUNTED GROWTH OF HOME-BASED ARTIST BUT THERE HAS BEEN IMPROVEMENTS RECENTLY BASED ON SHOW ORGANIZATIONS. HE ALSO STRESSED ON PRIVATE AGENCIES TO ORGANIZE/HOST SHOWBIZ IN THE STATE TO HELP PROJECT THE IMAGE OF HOME-BASED ARTISTS.

RICQY ULTRA WAS ALSO QUESTIONED ON THE REASON BEHIND HIS EXCLUSIVE SINGLE WHICH APPEARED ON HIS MIXTAPE "MY BLOOD DEY HOT" ON WHY HE RECORDED THE SONG BY SIMY? THE ARTIST WAS SHORT FOR WORDS AS HE SAID THE REASON BEHIND THE SONG WAS NOT A CLAP BACK ON ANY ARTIST PER SAY. IT WAS JUST A SINGLE TRYING TO EXPRESS WHAT HE FELT AS AT THE TIME OF THE RECORDING OF THE SONG.

RICQY ULTRA WAS ASKED ABOUT HIS CURRENT PROJECTS WHICH WERE RELEASED LATELY B Y SIMY AND HE RESPONDED BY DECLARING THE RELEASE OF HIS NEWEST PROJECTS "HATE IT OR LOVE IT VOLUME 1"  WHICH HAS 12 SONGS AND "HATE IT OR LOVE IT VOLUME 2" WHICH HAS 11 SONGS.


HE ALSO SURPRISED THE PRESENTER SIMY BY PRESENTING A BRAND NEW SINGLE TITLED "GOBA" WHICH IS GOING TO BE HIS FIRST OFFICIAL SINGLE OFF HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM TITLED "MAHAKURCI MAWADACI". 

RICQY ULTRA MADE IMPORTANT REMARKS THAT WERE QUITE RELEVANT TO THE MAINSTREAM ARTISTS IN KANO STATE. HE APPEALED TO FANS TO LISTEN AND PATRONIZE AREWA BASED ARTISTS AND THEIR PRODUCTS. HE ALSO CALLED ON BOTH THE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS TO HELP PROMOTE AND SUPPORT UPCOMING ACTS IN THE STATE.

RICQY ULTRA IS PRESENTLY WORKING ON A NEW ALBUM WHICH HAS BEEN SCHEDULED TO DROP BY EARLY JULY, 2016.
